despiteof 和despite的用法

1、despite和inspiteof后面都接名词性成分如名词、动名词、名词性从句用法基本一致但他们后面接句子一般用despite/inspiteofthefactthat的结构that后是同位语从句这样比较正式Englishbecametheofficiallanguageinspiteof/despitethefactthatthepopulationislargelychinese.despiteof不要用据说是古用法现在有考试算错误beaboutto就是将要做某事Iwasjustabouttoaskyouthesamething.后面接时间状语从句一般用when。

2、beaboutto表示一个时间点不好用延续性动作而瞬时动作一般用when引导。
